You should! She did some things with robotics and black obsidian rock that I can’t wait to see in person. Best of all her exhibit is free to the public.

Lately guilt has been crashing my dinner party. I've had enough of her!

I love this poem - it's so powerful and elegant and true. And I enjoyed the voice over (I read it first then took a listen and it landed even more so with your voice).

Thank you! I’m happy it added something. The perfectionist in me what’s it to be received EXACTLY as I’ve written it 🙃

“If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?”

i’ll say my ex. Not because we finna get back together but because such love we once shared deserves a grander ending than the way things ended.

“the last supper”

This is both heartbreaking and uplifting. Life's duality never ceases to amaze me.

"Life's duality never ceases to amaze me." i love the way you put it.

You know these tiny little questions you leave at the end of each article has really inspired me and i'm defo stealing that page out of your book of genius.

I love how the questions always get me. They pull me in each time i want to run. Thank you for always leaving them for me to unmute my mic.

Ah I love this. Thank you for sharing it - I like the idea of the body playing host to all these emotions. It's so humanizing and relatable to hear it in your voice, too. It makes me think of this Rumi poem, which I only learned about recently when I saw an artist's beautiful rendering of it in a zine. https://allpoetry.com/poem/8534703-The-Guest-House-by-Mewlana-Jalaluddin-Rumi

Annoyance usually sits with me at the table — cuz mfs always tryna distract me when I’m just tryna have my meal in peace!

I loved the voiceover. The background, the delivery, your tone is inviting.

The last really good meal was a random pasta dish I cooked up for me and my bestie to enjoy. It tasted better because of her appreciative noises throughout the meal.

I’d love to have dinner with you, actually. I think that would be a cackalacking and fascinating good time.

Mary, because I know she kicked someone’s ass after they murdered her baby; Prince for musical entertainment; Idris because let’s face it BroMan is fine as hell; Basquiat because I know he Had a lot of negative shit to say about Warhol too; Barack, because again BroMan is fine and he is smart; my two sisters because they would be jealous; the reefer man because shit why not pass a few blunts, Slash, because BroMan is fine and can play the hell out of a bass guitar; Ellen Sirleaf because she’s baddass; Angel Markel because she’s badass too; Harriet Tubman because she was badass and carried a gun; Gordon Ramsey, someone has to cook; Gordon Parks because I need photo proof that I pulled this shit off; Malcolm X because BroMan was an orator and I can’t be the only one carrying the conversation, and my boyfriend to make sure I behave 😉. Now you may think only none other than Barack, Ellen and Angela are qualified to speak on economics, however reefer improves concentrations and some world problem would get solve,
