Are tulips your favorites? I love Birds of Paradise, Lilies of the Valley, Calla Lilies and Carnations, but I will never turn my nose up at any flower, including a weed - because weeds have medicinal value, and God does not make junk!

Expand full comment

Stargazing Lilies are! They inspire me so much with their fragrance, and how much they open up, every time I think they’ve peaked they somehow have more to give.

That’s a way of life I aspire to.

I’m going to carry “God doesn’t make junk” with me for a long time. 🤯

All the lilies are fragrant, and they are showy too! No ma’am -God does not make junk (and at the same time he cares nothing for pretty and even less about ugly).

Thank you! I was blown away by the tulips when I saw them. Uncle Phil was the shooter. I pointed him in the direction and he always gets it right. 😌🤭

Where do you even find the words to talk about flowers in this manner? Truly blown away😫👏🏾

A double comment 😂 you love me ♥️

Rachel!!! This was marvellous - well done! Fierce penmanship.

I love flowers so much. I’m currently spending my days watching the dahlias bloom in my garden, as well as picking them and arranging them into vases, and it’s my favourite time of year!

High praise from THE Martha 😩 my day is made ✨

Dahlias 🤤

They’re certainly beautiful and at the same time always remind me of a pot scrubber 😂

What color are yours, if you don’t mind me asking?

Expand full comment

A pot scrubber 😂 girl mine are not looking like they should be scrubbing any pots! Mine are all shades of pink/red - I’ll post a note to show u xxx

Rachel, this takes my breath away. I just adore flowers, and your pictures reminded me of a photography series I did of flowers in college :)

Thanks so much Isabel! I’m really proud of it.

I’ve been forwarding all the photography praise to my husband, he really shows out when I tell him what a piece is about.

A true go-getter.

this part of the piece seems to be part that struck a cord in most people’s heart. Why do you feel so?
