Same. But it takes every ounce of discipline in me to go to bed early enough to enjoy them to the fullest.

I love this as I feel mornings are the most productive time of day for me. I want to figure out, if possible, how to keep that same feeling throughout the day.

Same! The time seems to move slower in the mornings, especially when it’s still dark out. Once it hits noon my brain thinks the day might as well be done.

Thank you for this 🧡 I love a morning. Hasn’t always been the case but I love meeting this new-ish part of myself. She’s hopeful and excited.

When I do it—which is not all the time because I have a part of me who thinks it’s a lie or worse, homework—a quick gratitude practice blows my mind by how it impactful it is.

Thanks for sharing. It hasn’t always been the case for me either, and I still have to quiet the part of me that’s all about productivity. But, on the topic of gratitude mornings are great for noticing and mindfulness since there’s very little else going on to distract.

"All of it could get done - none of it could get done - and it wouldn’t change the triumph of choosing to be me." - this was so beautiful Rachel! I really enjoyed reading this piece ✨

Thank you for reading. I wrote that final line and felt the same sense of calm. Probably the only time I didn’t second-guess where to stop. I’m so glad you enjoyed 😋

I appreciate this post so much. It took me a few years to really start enjoying morning time. As you said, it is the perfect time to reset and get prepared for the day. I realized that how you feel in the morning can make or break your day. I sometimes get overwhelmed in the morning but this was a great reminder of how special morning time is.

Agreed, Vonn! It feels like only few hours of the day when no one is asking anything from me. Too early for phone calls, I don’t look at my emails, and the rest of the world is asleep or just gearing up to go. I’ve grown to love it because of the possibility to tend to and focus.

I miss the mornings before Myles. But these mornings are a different kind of intimacy. Just him and I.

Morning person here but the biggest chunk of it gets swept away in work/duties. I do enjoy my time to run and I try to meditate for 10 min before getting out of bed and checking the phone. First thing self not phone!

Your writing was refreshing to read. I love that you kept hearing within the greeting to yourself, “Good Morning.” Such a powerful yet subtle way to remind us first to take time to spend within.

Love your morning list, definitely enjoyed seeing 'sit in contemplation' on the list because I don't name this enough even though it can be so empowering and calming. Also, all of the pieces listed in your new community corner sound so interesting, I can't wait to find my way to them.
