Your social adventures are so rich and and run deep outside of the working people life style and culture, those left behind looking out urban distraction and drama windows sitting upon bodega corner, or beneath a canopy, upon the curve of a popular undenied restaurant on the curve tables for the inner Harlem world movers and shakers etc.
Discussing the next current episode of HipHop New York and the drama that parallels our actresses actors of a Chrissy and Nancy Jones, no less Emily and Olivia with their hard decisions whether she will do it alone or with her baby’s father, and the other entertainers with the managers that they distrust, of course, the big question will Jim jones and Chrissy tie the knot in the next episode?
Final thought, the rich and luxurious social adventure have to be inquired by life style, even when there isn’t enough money, because when you have the money the deficit shows up in “time and space” to create this elegant and insightful adventure most people can only dream of or imagine the possibilities when they retire or hit lottery.
I can promise if you have not invested the kind of life style and respect and honor, retirement investment that will allow this golden retreat, your life will always be at the blood, sweat and grind of American culture.
Thank you for a well written adventure. I love your work.
Thank you for your feedback Preston, I’m glad to hear you enjoy! 😊
Also trust me 🥲🙃 I am part of the working people, 9-5, lifestyle. For the time being anyway. I trust my writing will allow me to focus solely on it in the very near future 🤞🏾🙏🏾
I was most intrigued by this post because we have the rotunda here at UVA in Charlottesville, VA! Looks lovely and you looked even lovelier. I like my tea with almond milk & sugar!
If you love this place then you’d love Tea at The Baccarat Hotel! It’s gorgeous and they have some good lobster rolls! Will have to check this place out though very gorgeous
I’d definitely add this to my (bucket) list! Just because. I love a lil luxury from time-to-time. And smoked salmon sandwiches. 😋 I like my hot tea with wildflower honey and my iced tea with lemon and sugar, although I try really hard to cut back on sugar. Enjoying this series!
Thank so much for sharing Teronda. I’m presently sipping some peppermint tea with honey 🙂, I have to get my hand on the wildflower kind. Ohhhhh there’s so much to enjoy in Season One. Are you enjoying it?
That dress is so lovely. 💚 I’ve never done an afternoon tea but between you and Bridgerton, I’m feeling tempted. There is a place here in Denver known for the tea room and I do love tea. I must admit I get a little squirrely in fancy spaces. My small town gal comes out a bit but I’m hoping this has evolved with time. Maybe a birthday idea, indeed!
I totes understand the squirrelly bit. My husband and I kept asking each other “should we be using silverware?” Cuz we kept picking things up with our hands 😩😂🤷🏾♀️
It sounds like it’s the perfect place to dip your toe out of your comfort zone. If you go, let me know how you enjoy it!
I’ve been dying to go to afternoon tea with friends. This was definitely the confirmation that I need to make it happen sooner than later. Thank you for a dose of Rachel. Your words are so poetic ❤️
I have yet to go to an official tea party but it’s on my list of things to do. This sounds lovely. Thank you for sharing. I love tea & try to do a mini tea ceremony each morning. I love my black tea with half & half & Splenda.
Wow thank you for saying that! I never know how it is received but I am all for trying something new and that’s what these adventures encourage. Thank you for sharing, Robert.
African teas are considered "everyday teas". There do exist some "premium ones", but the 'big part' is normally used in common tea bags and "supermarket teas". To me (personal opinion) they have 'its charm', or at least, they wake me up in the morning and keep me away from that nefandous beverage called coffee (sarcasm).
They tend to be quite strong black teas, somewhat bitter if you oversteep them. This is why they are not too common in "nice -posh- places". A nice tea room or an hotel usually serves Chinese, Indian or Japanese.
They make a perfect "builder's tea": lots of black tea, a good amount of milk (whole) and at least a couple of teaspoons of sugar (or more). Served in a mug (no china, no napkins, rough tea for rough people!! 😬. Aaarg!! But quite nice if you have to work in the open air on a rainy February morning...).
"Milk in first" or "tea in first" is the quintessential debate on tea drinkers (at least British ones). You can be asked if you are 'miffy' or 'tiffy'. Sometimes in a passionate way or totally submerged in perfectly civilised sarcasm trying to convince each other that its option is "the right thing to do" (finger up and looking upwards when saying that 😬)
Thing comes from Jonathan's Swift Gulliver's Travels, big Endians and little Endians, depending on the side where they opened the boiled eggs (big end or little end)... Google helps ...

Rotundas are always so elegant, right? There’s something about a round room that forces the architects to really reckon with symmetries and design.
Compliment recieved 😌 It felt really good to get fancy, I’m in a real dress season of life.
Thanks for sharing ☕️ Almond milk and sugar sounds yummy
I’ve always wanted to go to tea! This just inspired me to treat myself for my birthday. So elegant. Beautiful pics
Definitely the place to go for “treat yo self vibes”
I LOVE this post and adventure series! I love all your pictures and your thoughts on each place. Can’t wait for week 3!
Thanks for reading along, Isabel, and sharing your feedback 🥰 it means a lot. 🥹
Such wonderful thoughts for your work appreciation and contribution means a lot for a writer.

Ooohhhh addding it to my list! I want all the tea opportunities. Thanks!

I love wildflower. I’ve bought it from a local mart as well as ordered it from Amazon and picked up a small bottle at Aldi.
I’d actually have to start Bridgerton over. I saw those initial season one episodes when the show originally premiered. 2020?
Yesss to peppermint!
Oh, and I’m still on season one of Bridgerton. 😬

Yes! It evokes that scene in pretty woman for me every time.
Tea is fairly new to me. In the past it meant someone was ill. Now it means breakfast is done, or bedtime is near.
Great observation! When we’re young, tea does have a correlation with sickness or as an old persons drink. 🥲🙃
I’ve been dying to go to afternoon tea with friends. This was definitely the confirmation that I need to make it happen sooner than later. Thank you for a dose of Rachel. Your words are so poetic ❤️
Thanks Vic 🥰, you deserve all the fancy tea spots!

It truly was lovely, Sherrell. I hope your tea party features fancy hats and ornate china. That would really make it a party.
I don't think you know how freeing it is for you to bring us with you on these adventures. My soul is lifted. Seeing and experiencing this.
Wow thank you for saying that! I never know how it is received but I am all for trying something new and that’s what these adventures encourage. Thank you for sharing, Robert.
Listen. If we can’t go at least we can travel through others and their experiences. It’s freedom work
I love that. Freedom work. What a concept.
Black and strong. Dash of milk, no sugar...
Not very posh, but I enjoy African teas (Kenian, Rwandan and from Malawi). Strong and malty (although sometimes a little dusty)
And I am Miffy... of course... Milk in first forever!!
Ooohhhhh I am not hip to African teas, Jordi, thank you for giving me something to look into.
Also is the order of milk addition a source of contention? I believe someone else said they put the milk in second 🫣😂

Thank you for all this info! I am fully in the know now. Now that I am familiar with the term, I can say I was raised in a tiffy household
