Reach for the world but touch the hood first! Omg this bookstore is where we need to be hosting the BlackStack meetup for NYC!

The last time I started a book and I couldn’t put it down was last year, but I have a book right now I want to start reading. It was gifted to me last year before my journey to California so I feel its gems for me.

Oh it would be a perfect location. It 's a great balance of intimacy and spaciousness.

The last book that had me unwilling to put it down was Tia Williams' "A Love Song for Ricki Wilde". Do you remember the title of the one you read?

I loved the Lit Bar SO much when I went! I wish I was local because I’d surely be a regular.

Right!! I was so excited to hear you enjoyed yourself since I knew I was going shortly after. I at one point had about 8 books in my hand and had to say to myself, okay cool your jets lol

You'd love it. I imagine you're a lover of murals/artwork from your Philly days.

Ps - I like white burgundy, and red blends but a semi-sweet or dry rose on a summers day is always appreciated! What about you?

I say I love everything sweet until it gives me a headache lol but truly a well balanced rose can keep me happy for a min.

Oooh! I'd love to spend an afternoon here! For a meet-cute? Cool! The most books I've purchased in a book haul? Maybe 5 or so. But it's been a minute. The last two books that I couldn't put down? I say two. I read them both within the past 45 days: Before I Let Go and A Love Song for Ricki Wilde. And I gravitate towards rose, but a drier one like Snoop's Cali Rose, more than a sweeter rose.

📚I’ve read both of those titles and yes they are def hard to put down. Ricki Wilde was hilarious too.

Think and grow rich. The epitome of don’t judge a book by its cover.

A really cute guy recommended it to me but I haven’t finished it yet.

This place is beautiful! Most swank I’ve ever seen. The Classics section is a trip. I’ll probably have to make the trek just for that to see what my library is missing.

I liked The Bell in the Fog by Lev AC Rosen. It’s the sequel to Lavender House. The main character, Evander Mills, is a former detective dismissed from the force for being gay. He takes up the case of a murdered mogul. TBITF is a continuation of his adventures.

I went to a book bar in the city and I couldn’t get comfortable enough to read there. If it were daytime with just a few stragglers, maybe, but otherwise, meh.

Rosé!

I can’t wait to visit this bookstore. I know that area but haven’t been over there in years. The Bronx needed a COOL place that’s Lit and full of Lit 🔥!

I’m currently reading (listening on audiobook) to SCOTUS Ktanji Brown Jackson’s autobiography, “Lovely One,” read by her. It’s wonderful getting to know her and her personal story of evolution to womanhood, the law, and SCOTUS. Highly recommend it.

Thank you @Rachel Leeke for sharing.

It’s definitely a great spot! You’ll enjoy and if it’s been a while since visiting you’ll probably look suspiciously at the high rises like I did lol.

Everyone I know who has picked up that book has given high praise. I’m adding it to my list for next year’s list. Thanks for reading!
